BMC Events

In 2023

On 6 May 2023 we placed our focus on fellowship across all ages. A fun day was held at Laerskool Orion where members of BMC and the greater Alberton community enjoyed a day in the great outdoors just before the cooler weather set in. The offerings included a fun walk, vendor stalls, tea garden, live entertainment, variety of meals & refreshments, a lucky draw, vintage car display, cake stall, activities for young & old, jumping castles, etc. The committee and numerous volunteers were commended on a sterling job. The event raised over R30.000 for BMC due to the generosity of our members.

Future events

We are hoping to have a ministry fair to showcase all active (and even new) ministries in BMC. This would be an opportunity to create more awareness of the various ministries and encourage members to become more involved in one way or another. It is critical that we emphasise the need for succession planning as most of the current leaders are pensioners.

Hopefully the introduction of younger leaders would encourage young adult and families to join BMC.

We will be directed by our new Shepherd (Gavin) in terms of his aspirations in relation to future events and the bigger vision for BMC.

I look forward to working with many of you as you feel called to be part of any future events at BMC.
